Managed to get both cameras working again very easily. They both seemed to just work again of their own accord and I'm positive I checked every possibility and they were definitley not working. What an idiot. Saw this old Polo on my way home today too. First car I was ever in. Dad had a nearly new one more than 23 years ago the same colour. Takes me back...
